Mose Allison is an American jazz musician who has a net worth of $500 thousand dollars. Mose Allison was born in Tippo, Mississippi, in 1927, and started playing the piano when he was five years old. Allison studied at the University of Mississippi before leaving to join the U.S. Army. Two years later, he began taking classes at Louisiana State University and earned his English degree in 1952. Within five years of graduation, Allison moved to New York to pursue his music career in jazz. He released his debut album, "Back Country Suite", in 1957.
Six years later, he released "Mose Allison Sings" with several cover songs meant as tributes to a variety of artists. Allison has released dozens of albums between the late '50s and 2010, including 1958's "Ramblin' with Mose", 1962's "I Don't Worry About A Thing", 1976's "Your Mind is on Vacation", 1987's "Ever Since the World Ended", 1996's "Tell Me Something: The Songs of Mose Allison", and 2010's "The Way of the World". The latter was his first foray into recording after taking a hiatus for a dozen years. In 2006, he was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. The songwriter has been married to his wife, Audrie, since 1949, and they have four children together.
