Inez Andrews was an American gospel singer and songwriter who had a net worth of $4 million. Inez Andrews was born in Birmingham, Alabama in April 1929 and passed away in December 2012. She started singing as a child in church and then joined the group The Caravans in 1957. The New York Times called Andrews "the last great female vocalist of gospel's golden age".
Andrews sang lead vocals on The Caravans hit "Mary Don't You Weep" and had success with the solo single "Lord Don't Move The Mountain". Andrews released her debut studio album The Need of Prayer in 1963 and went on to release a total of 19 studio albums through 1991. She was inducted into the Gospel Hall of Fame in 2002 and was awarded with the Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legend Award at the Stellar Awards in 2013. Inez Andrews passed away on December 19, 2012 at 83 years old.
