Steve Culp is an American film and television actor who has a net worth of $8 million dollars. Born December 3, 1955 in La Jolla, San Diego, California, he is best known for his roles as Rex Van de Kamp on the ABC series Desperate Housewives, as Clayton Webb on JAG and as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Jeff Haffley on NBC's The West Wing. One of his earliest roles in his career as an actor was in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) where he played a reporter looking into the Jason murders. He also played the father of James in James and the Giant Peach. Culp also played Major Hayes on Star Trek: Enterprise (2003 – 2004).
Culp has portrayed the late Robert F. Kennedy twice-once in the film Thirteen Days (2000) and previously in the made-for-TV movie Norma Jean & Marilyn (1996). He briefly played the role of Brian Hamilton on the daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. During the 7th Season Championship game on Celebrity Poker Showdown, Culp won the championship. He also made appearances on such television shows as NCIS, Medium, The Mentalist, The Chicago 8, Body of Proof, Grey's Anatomy and landed a recurring role on Revolution as Edward Truman, commander of The Patriots.
