Ryan Buell is an American paranormal investigator who has a net worth of $1.5 million. Born on July 8, 1982 in Corry, Pennsylvania, Buell founded the Paranormal Research Society at Pennsylvania State University at a mere nineteen years old. Buell's research group and investigations became the primary focus for the TV show Paranormal State on the A&E network. Buell both produced and directed the show and went on to become Executive Producer for the feature film, American Ghost Hunter. He received his Bachelor degrees in journalism and anthropology and has recently written a memoir titled Paranormal State: My Journey into the Unknown. In his book, Buell announces his bisexuality and his ongoing struggle with religious identity versus his sexual preferences. The book was released in September of 2010, and Paranormal State aired its final episode on May 2, 2011. In 2012, Buell publicly announced his battle with pancreatic cancer at the young age of 29. After treatment and surgery, his tumor was removed laparoscopically. In September 2013, Buell celebrated the twelfth anniversary of the Paranormal Research Society with his colleagues in Raleigh, North Carolina. Buell co-wrote the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers comic book, which was released in May 2014.
