What is Clara Peller's Net Worth?
Clara Peller was an American retired manicurist and character actress who has a net worth of $1 million. Clara Peller was born in Chicago, Illinois, and spent most of her adult life working as a manicurist in a Chicago-area salon, while raising her two children. When she was 80 years old, she was hired to work as a manicurist for a television commercial that was being shot in a local barbershop. Ms. Peller so impressed the ad agency executives that they later approached her and asked her to appear in an ad campaign they were working on for Wendy's. The campaign was created by the ad agency, Dancer Fitzgerald Sample, and featured the now famous line, "Where's the beef?". The 1984 campaign was a massive success for Wendy's and their sales jumped 31% worldwide. Clara Peller made two more commercials with the "Where's the beef?" campaign, as well as appearing in various product tie-ins. She was subsequently fired, when she appeared in an ad for Prego soup using the same catchphrase. She passed away in 1987.
