What is Robert Noyce's Net Worth?
Robert Noyce was an American technology entrepreneur who had a net worth of $3.7 billion. Born in Burlington, Iowa, Robert Noyce showed an early aptitude for math, physics, and mechanics, building working child-sized aircraft and motorized sleds with his brother when they were in their early teens. He graduated from Grinnell College with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics, and earned his Doctorate in Physics from MIT. After working briefly as a research engineer, he began working at the Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory in California. He left Shockley to open his own semiconductor center with a small of group of engineers dubbed the "Traitorous Eight". In 1968, he launched Intel. The tone he set at Intel, one of creativity and team-based development became the hallmark of the Intel business model. While the head of Intel, he oversaw the development of Ted Hoff's microprocessor, among many other innovations. He passed away in Austin, Texas in 1990 at the age of 62.
