Born Pansy Catalina Ho Chiu-king on 26 August 1962, in Macau, she is the daughter of the Chinese businessman Stanley Ho, and nowadays she manages the various companies founded by her father, including Shun Tak Holdings (property and transportation company) and the Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau (gaming company).
It was in October 2012 that she won an approval from the government for her joint venture with MGM Resorts International, MGM China, to build a $2.5 billion casino resort on Macau's Cotai Strip. The eldest of five children from Ho's second wife, Pansy Ho ranks high on the China's richest list.
