What is Nikita Mishin's Net Worth?
Nikita Mishin is a Russian businessman who has a net worth of $1.1 billion. Nikita Mishin derives his riches from ports and railways. Mishin was still a philosophy student at the Moscow State University when he teamed up with Andre Filatov and Konstantin Nikolaev in 1996 to found their first shipping company, Severstaltrans. Billionaire Alexei Mordashov also invested in Severstaltrans' establishment, but in 2007 the partners bought his stake, and within a year they renamed the company N-Trans. Some three years later, the trio decided to take group's Global Ports Investments public for about $500 million.
In October 2012, the partners went on to sell a 37.5% stake in the company for $863 million to a subsidiary of the Danish shipping A.P. Moller-Maersk. In addition, Mishin and his partners hold shares in Mostotrest, a construction company that won a $4.6 billion tender to build part of the M-11 highway between Moscow and St. Petersburg in November 2013.
