Alexei Ananyev is a Russian entrepreneur who has a net worth of $2.1 billion. Alexei Ananyev started his career path side by side with his brother, Dmitry Ananyev. The brothers have been active in diversified businesses, including banking, media, IT and real estate. Their start-up was with importing computers to Russia, and after a while, the Ananyev duo founded a bank, Promsvyazbank, whose Chairman is Alexei. A Master of Business Administration of University of Chicago, Alexei chairs their IT company Technosery, which is the leading company in system integration in Russia, and it had an estimated income of more than $1.5 billion for 2012.
The next year, Alexei was appointed Chief Executive of Systemy Upravleniya, a state company launched to develop automated management systems for the military-industrial organizations. In 2011, the Ananyev brothers purchased the office complex Alfa Arbat Center, in the centre of Moscow, for $230 million, and they also own a 21.5-acre business area along the Moscow River, which is known as Novospassky Dvor. Moreover, the brothers were proud owners of Synterra, a telecom company, which they sold for $745 million to Megafon, owned by fellow billionaire Alisher Usmanov. In addition, Alexei holds the enormous art collection of Socialist realism-style, and in 2011, he opened a museum in order to display his art collection.
