He is also one of the most famous producers of analog synthesizer arrangements. As a child he took lessons in orchestration and composition and studied art history at Keio University, Tokyo. In 1955 he became a composer for film, theater, and television. Tomita composed the theme music for the Japanese Olympic gymnastics team in the 1956 Summer Olympics.
