Kiran Patel is an Indian politician, cardiologist and philanthropist who has a net worth of $250 million dollars. Kiran Patel is the president of Freedom Health, Inc., an entity owned by Patel. A native of India, Patel is most notable these days for the 63,310-square-foot mansion he is building in the Carrollwood subdivision in Tampa, Florida. Patel already houses his family in a $6.5 million house there on White Trout Lake, which has 12 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms and eight half bathrooms.
His current home is already the largest single-family dwelling house in Hillsborough County. The in-progress, 63,310-square-foot compound will also include two smaller single-family homes, three guest homes as well as quarters for staff and a 3,600-square-foot maintenance building. Patel cites his reason for building the huge mansion/compound as "…a desire and the opportunity to have all of my family in one location." To put the size of the project in perspective, an NFL football field is 57,600 square feet, including both end zones. The project is slated for completion in 2014.
