Born Andrew Christopher Gower on December 2, 1978, in Nottingham, England, he made a name for himself as the lead developer and co-founder of Jagex Ltd., as well as a Java-based game distributor and creator. The Cambridge-based company, whose name comes from the slogan "Java Gaming Experts," was officially founded in 2001 by the trio: Andrew Gower, Paul Gower and Constant Tedder. Jagex is best known for RuneScape, world's largest free-to-play MMORPG that Andrew wrote with the assistance of his brother, Paul Gower.
