What is Sue Ann Hamm's Net Worth?

Sue Ann Hamm is an American economist and lawyer who has a net worth of $1 billion dollars. Sue Ann Hamm married American oil tycoon Harold Hamm in April 1988. Sue Ann had executive roles at Continental Resources. She filed for divorce from Harold in May 2012. Harold claimed that Sue Ann separated from him in 2005. Forbes reported in 2014 that a ruling would allow the majority of Harold's ownership interest in Continental to continue after the divorce. In August 2014 it was reported by media outlets such as CNN that Harold could face a world record divorce settlement and nearly half of his $20 billion estimated fortune could be at stake. There has been speculation to whether or not the couple had a pre-nuptial agreement and that a $5-10 billion pay-out could make theirs the most expensive divorce in history. Harold Hamm was ranked the 30th richest person in America in 2012 and the 76th richest in the world. He was named by Mitt Romney as his energy advisor in 2012. Sue Ann and Harold Hamm have two children together. In November, 2014, Harold Hamm agreed to pay Sue Ann a $1 billion divorce settlement. It's enough to be the fourth most expensive divorce of all time, but it's far less than the nearly $7 billion that Sue and her lawyers were seeking. My heart goes out to her. In case you are curious, here's a copy of the actual check that Harold gave to Sue Ann (who by the time it was written was using her maiden name Arnalt). Note the amount, $974,790,317.77:
