Landry was two time First-team All-SEC and was a Consensus All-American in 2006. He was drafted #6 by the Washington Redskins in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Landry played for Washington from 2007 to 2011. He played for the New York Jets in 2012 and for the Indianapolis Colts from 2013 to 2014. Landry was named First-team All-Rookie Defense in 2007 and was an NFC Defensive Player of the Week in 2010. In 2012 he was selected to the Pro Bowl. In 2012 he signed a one year deal for $3.5 million with the Jets and in 2013 he signed a four year deal for $24 million with the Colts.
