Thiago Silva net worth and salary: Thiago Silva, also known as Thiago Anderson Ramos da Silva, is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who has a net worth of $2 million. Thiago Silva was born in Brazil on November 12, 1982 to a life of poverty. Starting at the age of 18, Silva began to train in mixed martial arts. Because he didn't have much money, his coach let him train for free in exchange for cleaning of the facility. In Brazil, he had a perfect 9-0 record during his first nine matches. Silva went on to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where his first match-up was against James Irvin at UFC 71. He had won his first match by TKO. His first televised debut was against Houston Alexander, whom he knocked out in the opening round. On May 28, 2011 Silva was slated to fight UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson at UFC 130.

Instead the fight was cancelled and it was later released that Silva underwent a drug test and the findings appeared inconsistent with human urine. He publically admitted to using a urine adulterant. Silva was faced with a one year suspension, $20,000 out of a $55,000 win bonus, and forfeiture of 25% of his purse. He resumed fighting on May 15, 2012. On February 6, 2014 he was charged with two counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. After the arrest, Silva was banned from fighting in the UFC. He is currently living in Oakland Park, Florida with his estranged wife Thaysa Kamiji Silva. Silva won the ACB Light Heavyweight Championship in January 2017 before losing it in his next fight in July 2017.
