What is Andrew Silverman's Net Worth?
Andrew Silverman is an American businessman, entrepreneur, and real estate developer who has a net worth of $30 million. Andrew Silverman became somewhat notable worldwide in 2013 thanks to his former relationship with Lauren Silverman. Lauren and Andrew were married for 10 years before she had an with one of his close friends, television tycoon Simon Cowell. Lauren and Andrew were still married and living together with their 7-year-old son when she ultimately became pregnant by Cowell. She gave birth to Cowell's son, a boy they named Eric, in February 2014.
Divorce Settlement
Andrew and Lauren reached a divorce settlement very quickly. Their divorce was finalized in August of 2013, just a few months after her affair became national news. According to the reported terms of the divorce, Andrew paid Lauren half of a $4 million prenuptial agreement. He also agreed to provide $3,000 per month in child support. Their settlement included a clause where Cowell would be required to pay Andrew a $50,000 penalty if he was ever around the son he shared with Lauren. Furthermore, the agreement required that their shared son could not refer to any other person as "mother" or "father."
Speaking on her divorce and future relationship with ex-husband Andrew Silverman, Lauren released a statement to the media and to the public that stated the following:
"I am committed to sorting things out with Andrew as amicably as possible to ensure the well-being of our son. I would hope for some space and privacy in order to work through this."
Cowell would later tell an interviewer:
"The affair is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened… but then, of course, you have a baby, and you look at the baby and you kinda go 'This is what happened from it.'"
The affair was rumored to have started when Silverman and Lauren, then his wife of about ten years, were vacationing with Simon Cowell, a family friend they met while on vacation in Barbados. Andrew Silverman's reticence was the polar opposite of Cowell's outgoing personality and Ms. Silverman's approach, who even now continue to provide a nonstop stream of quotes and photo-ops to the press.
In January 2022, after 13 years together, Simon and Lauren became engaged.
Real Estate
In February 2014, the same month that his ex-wife gave birth to Cowell's child, Andrew Silverman secured financing to build what he calls his 222-unit 'baby', a luxury rental building in Stamford, Connecticut, partnering with local developer F.D. Rich Company.
In 2015, a newly-single Andrew paid $3.65 million for a 2,271 square-foot apartment in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood. He sold this unit for $4.09 million in November 2017.
He continues to own and live in an apartment in the same building. He bought this other apartment in 2012 for $2.7 million.
