After his mother passed away when he was 15, he threw himself into fitness to take his mind off of the grief. His passion for fitness led to him competing as a bodybuilder, and eventually opening his own fitness chain. He is now the CEO and founder of Retro Fitness.
He launched the company in 1990 in New Jersey, and there are now 90 clubs in eleven states. There are already plans for another 150 locations to open over the course of the next few years. With the success of Retro Fitness, he decided to launch his own frozen yogurt company, as well. Let's Yo!, his frozen yogurt franchise has grown to over 20 locations in three years. In 2013, he became a household name after appearing on an episode of the popular CBS reality series, "Undercover Boss".
