For many, he is known as the artist who designed Star Trek's USS Enterprise as well as Enterprise-D. Andrew Probert received his formal higher education in Pasadena, California at the Art Center College. Thanks to a recommendation by Ralph McQuarrie, Probert landed his first job on the TV miniseries "Battle star Galactica". There he significantly contributed to the design of the Cyclon Centurions as well as on the building on some of the space ship models. A year later, in 1978, he was hired to work as an illustrator/designer on the Star Trek, the motion picture.
