In the late 1970s, Brown won the UK Disco Dancing Championships. She went on to win the World Disco Dancing Championships after that. She also appeared as a dancer on the BBC music chart program "Top of the Pops." Later, Brown became a presenter on the 24/7 pan-European television channel Music Box.
Club MTV
After moving to the United States in the late 1980s, Brown became a VJ on the television channel MTV. In the summer of 1987, she began hosting the new music show "Club MTV."
