Frits Goldschmeding is a Dutch businessman who has a net worth of $3.9 billion. Frits Goldschmeding founded the employment agency Randstad Holding, previously named Uitzendbureau Amstelveen, in the 1960's. He expanded his Netherlands-based company out of the kingdom by 1970, building 32 branches in four countries including Belgium, Germany, and the UK.
Frits took Randstad public in 1990, while he merged with Dutch group Vedior in 2008 to form the world's second-largest temp agency. Nowadays he is truly retired, but still possesses 35% of the company and remains vice chairman of the supervisory board. In addition, Goldschmeding serves as a professor at the Centre for Entrepreneurship of the Nyenrode Business University, and in his free time goes sailing.
