Jennifer Esposito was born on April 11, 1973, in New York City. She is the daughter of interior decorator Phyllis Esposito and music producer Robert Esposito, and she has an older sister. Jennifer's heritage is Italian, and she grew up on Staten Island. Esposito graduated from Moore Catholic High School.

Career

Jennifer made her TV debut on the ABC soap opera "The City" in 1995. She then guest-starred on "Law & Order" (1996), "Feds" (1997), and "New York Undercover" (1998) and appeared in the TV movie "The Sunshine Boys" (1996) and the films "A Brother's Kiss" (1997), "Kiss Me, Guido" (1997), "A Brooklyn State of Mind" (1997), "No Looking Back" (1998), "Charlie Hoboken" (1998), "Side Streets" (1998), "Just One Time" (1999), and "The Bachelor" (1999). Jennifer married actor Bradley Cooper in the South of France on December 30, 2006, and they divorced in November 2007. Esposito became engaged to Mark Philippoussis, an Australian tennis player, in 2009, but they split up the following year. Jennifer wed British model Louis Dowler on November 16, 2014, and after they divorced in Match 2016, she married fitness trainer Jesper Vesterstrøm on September 13, 2020.

Esposito has celiac disease, and she published the book "Jennifer's Way: My Journey with Celiac Disease–What Doctors Don't Tell You and How You Can Learn to Live Again" in 2014. In 2013, she opened a gluten-free bakery, Jennifer's Way, in Manhattan, and she released the cookbook "Jennifer's Way Kitchen: Easy Allergen-Free, Anti-Inflammatory Recipes for a Delicious Life" in 2017. Esposito was diagnosed with the disease during the third season of "Blue Bloods," and after she collapsed on the set, her doctor suggested that she switch to a reduced work schedule. Rather than work with Jennifer to accommodate a schedule that was better for her health, the producers of "Blue Bloods" wrote her out of the show. In 2015, she was named a brand ambassador for the body care line Éclair Naturals, which is gluten-free, vegan, and GMO-free.
