In late 2020, Olivia signed a record deal with Interscope/Geffen Records. In a highly unusual move for a debut artist, Olivia was able to negotiate the right to own the masters of her music from the get-go.
She released a debut single, "Drivers License", on January 8, 2021. She co-wrote the song, which quickly broke Spotify's record for most daily-streams for a non-holiday song. She broke the record TWICE. On January 11, it was streamed 15.7 million times, and on January 12, it was streamed 17 million times globally. The song is the first in Spotify history to reach 80 million streams in under one week.
