Early Life

Lindsey Morgan was born on February 27, 1990, in Georgia. She is the daughter of Gus Morgan and Alice Burciaga. She is of Irish descent on her father's side and of Mexican descent on her mother's side. Lindsey was raised with her older brother, half-sister, and five step-siblings. After high school, she attended college at the University of Texas at Austin. While a student there, she decided to pursue a career in acting.

Career

Morgan began her career by auditioning for commercials and print advertisements. She stayed busy with this work while a student at the University of Texas at Austin and was also cast as an extra on the series "Friday Night Lights" during this time. She eventually relocated to Los Angeles, California, to have access to more acting opportunities.

Morgan's first real role in a film was in the movie "Detention" in 2011. The film starred Josh Hutcherson, and Lindsey played the role of a mean cheerleader named Alexis. The same year, she also landed the leading role in the MTV film "DisCONNECTED" as Maria. The film was a part of MTV's "A Thin Line" campaign. The campaign was created in order to empower young people to identify, respond to, and stop the spread of digital abuse on social media. She also appeared in an episode of "Supah Ninjas" that year and in "B-Sides." Additionally, she appeared in the music video for the song "Boyfriend" by Big Time Rush.

In 2012, Morgan booked roles on episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" and "Happy Endings."
