In 1994, Posner sued her half-brother Steven for allegedly letting one of her trust funds sink from $2 million to $100,000 due to undocumented loans and various low-value transactions. Moreover, she claimed that the trust should have passed to her when she turned 21, and also that it should have been kept secret until 1993. Posner continued to be embroiled in lawsuits until 2015, sometimes involving her late father's estate.

Posner had small roles in a few films starring her husband, Burt Ward. The first was the 1990 science-fiction action comedy "Cyber-C.H.I.C." Following that, she appeared briefly in the 1991 direct-to-video sex comedy "Virgin High." Posner's third and final film with her husband was the 1995 comedy sequel "Assault of the Party Nerds 2: The Heavy Petting Detective."
