Early Life

Margaret Qualley was born on October 23, 1994, in Kalispell, Montana. She is Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley. Her father was a former model, while her mother is an actress and model. She grew up with her older brother and sister, Justin and Rainey. Her sister went on to become an actress and singer. Qualley spent her early years on a ranch in Missoula, Montana, before the family moved to Asheville, North Carolina, when she was four years old. When she was five, her parents split up, and she spent her time equally between them. When she was 14 years old, she left home to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts, where she studied dance and trained as a ballerina. She earned an apprenticeship at the American Ballet Theatre and studied at New York's Professional Children's School.

When she was 16 years old, Qualley received an offer to train as an apprentice with the North Carolina Dance Theater. However, she wished to remain in New York and work as a model. Qualley began modeling at the age of 16 during New York Fashion Week when she walked for Alberta Ferretti in 2011. In 2013, Qualley landed her first acting role when she was cast in a small role in the film "Palo Alto." She got the part by chance after visiting her then-boyfriend, Nat Wolff, on set.
