The whole Jeffrey Epstein story just keeps getting creepier. In an explosive report from The New York Times, registered sex offender and alleged billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein wanted to "seed the human race with his DNA" and had plans for making that happen – namely he'd impregnate a bunch of women at his ranch in New Mexico to ensure his genes were passed down. Yeah, gross. Just when you think Epstein couldn't get more disgusting, more news comes out. Interviews with dozens of Epstein's acquaintances revealed how he tried to gain favor with scientists in order "to pursue his interests in eugenics and other fringe fields like cryonics." Oh, right – he also wanted his head and penis frozen after his death.
First of all, Epstein planned to impregnate women at his ranch in New Mexico. He started telling businessmen and scientists about plans for his 33,000-square-foot compound in New Mexico in the early 2000s. Two award winning scientists and a financial adviser told the Times that Epstein "had ambitions to use his New Mexico ranch as a base where women would be inseminated with his sperm and would give birth to his babies." The people Epstein revealed this to said he spoke of the plan at dinner parties. Pass the butter will you, and oh by the way did I tell you about my plans to breed a bunch of women with my seed? One NASA scientist described to Jaron Lanier, a pioneer in the field of virtual reality, that Epstein told him he wanted up to 20 women at a time pregnant with his baby at his New Mexico property. Lanier believed that Epstein used his dinner parties to "screen candidates" to have his children.

Epstein was also fascinated with the subject of cryonics – the belief that freezing body parts after death will allow people to come back to life once they are thawed out. Specifically, Epstein wanted to freeze his head and his penis. Just when you think his story can't get weirder, that little fact comes out. Epstein believed in Transhumanism, a field of thought about how the human race could improve with genetic engineering and artificial intelligence. Transhumanism is often called modern eugenics. Epstein donated $120,000 to the Worldwide Transhumanist Association and its vice chairman. Like his desire to "seed the population with his DNA," Epstein wasn't quiet about these interests either. Alan Dershowitz, the attorney who represented Epstein during his first round of sex crime charges, told the Times that he and Epstein were having lunch when his client "steered the conversation toward the question of how humans could be improved genetically."
It would be one thing, one strange thing, but one thing if Epstein simply had these fringe desires. But he didn't just talk about them, he went out and tried to make them happen. He used his money and influence to court prominent scientists and Nobel Prize winners including Stephen Hawking and a number of other notable scientists. He promised them financial backing in exchange for them turning a blind eye to his "sexual transgressions" and "half-baked scientific musings."
Jeffrey Epstein currently remains in custody awaiting trial for sex-trafficking a minor. He was denied bail. Bravo to that judge!
