Early Life

Mitchel Musso was born on July 9, 1991 in Garland, Texas to Katherine and Samuel, both of whom were involved in community theater in Dallas. His brothers are Mason, a singer-songwriter and musician, and Marc, an actor. The boys are of Italian and English descent.

Television Career

Musso first appeared on television in 2004 with a guest role on the Fox sitcom "Oliver Beene." The following year, he starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Life is Ruff" and appeared in the action television film "Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire." Musso had his breakout role in 2006 when he began playing Oliver Oken on the Disney Channel sitcom "Hannah Montana." His character was the best male friend of Miley Stewart, played by Miley Cyrus, and Lilly Truscott, played by Emily Osment. Musso appeared on the show as a main character for the first three seasons, and then became a recurring player in the fourth and final season. During the run of "Hannah Montana," Musso began voicing the main role of Jeremy Johnson, the teenage crush of Candace Flynn, in the Disney Channel animated series "Phineas and Ferb." The show ran for four seasons from 2007 to 2015, and spawned two television movies. Meanwhile, in 2009, Musso starred opposite Jason Dolley in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Hatching Pete."

Musso landed his next main role in 2010, on the Disney fantasy sitcom "Pair of Kings." He starred opposite Doc Shaw as one half of a pair of teenage fraternal twins in Chicago who learn that they're the heirs to the throne of a fictitious Pacific Island nation. Musso was a main cast member for the first two seasons of the show before being written out for the third and final season due to his DUI arrest.
