He also earns millions thanks to endorsement deals with companies such as Nike, Mountain Dew, Doritos, and Monster Energy. Known as one of the most influential skateboarders of all time, Nyjah has certainly made an impact on the sport. When he made his first appearance at the X Games in 2006, he was the youngest athlete to ever compete. Nyjah has also appeared in several Tony Hawk video games, including "Tony Hawk's Proving Ground," "Tony Hawk's Project 8," and "Tony Hawk's Ride."
Early Life
Nyjah James Huston was born on November 30, 1994, in Davis, California. Raised alongside four siblings in a Rastafarian, vegan household, Huston was home-schooled from an early age. Nyjah's father encouraged him to skateboard and made sure that he practiced every single day from the age of five. Huston later admitted that his father was quite controlling.
After his parents purchased an indoor skatepark, Nyjah dedicated most of his waking hours to skateboarding. Having already been sponsored by the skateboard company Element by this point, his sponsorship deals ended when his father decided to relocate the entire family to Puerto Rico out of the blue. Eventually, Huston's mother divorced his father and won custody of Nyjah, allowing him to move back to California to resume his skateboarding career. Today, Huston no longer identifies as a Rastafarite.
Career
Nyjah's skateboarding career began at a young age when he was sponsored by Element and subsequently appeared in many of their films. He then started to enter high-profile skateboarding contests. However, he was still an amateur skateboarder, and after he left the Element team, he started his own company called I&I, which made skateboard decks.
After I&I flopped, Huston returned to Element and released a solo video. He also became sponsored by DC Shoes. By this point, Nyjah was a well-established skateboarder with a ton of exposure. His presence as one of the most exciting up-and-coming skateboarders was solidified when he won a gold medal at the 2013 X Games Street League contest. This also meant that he had won more prize money than any other skateboarder in history. Huston has won seven gold medals at various Summer X games.

Real Estate
In 2013, Nyjah Huston purchased his first home, a $2.55-million property in San Juan Capistrano. The residence sits on three acres of land and features just over 6,000 square feet of living space. Additional highlights include an infinity pool and expansive courtyards. In 2018, it was reported that Huston had sold this property for $3.22 million. That same year, he purchased a home in Laguna Beach for $3.6 million. He gave "Architectural Digest" a video tour of the home in December 2019:
An interesting side note is that his neighbors were practically jumping for joy after Huston sold his house in San Juan Capistrano. For years, Nyjah had been hosting loud and raucous parties that raged on throughout the night. The entire neighborhood became a hotspot for local teens who climbed through neighbors' yards just to sneak their way into Huston's mansion. Nyjah was charged with nine misdemeanor offenses, including disturbing the peace, public nuisance, and resisting a peace officer.
