Miley Cyrus might be a wild-child pop superstar, but she doesn't horse around when it comes to feeling secure at home. Reportedly, a series of break-ins at her Toluca Lake home prompted Cyrus to purchase a $4 million horse ranch in Hidden Hills!
There is plenty of room to roam on Cyrus' sprawling new property, located in one of the far western suburbs of Los Angeles, and accessed by a long driveway. Let's start with the outdoor elements of the 5.5 acre property. There is a horse stable with 10 stalls, and a one-acre horse riding area. That ought to help her put the stress of the Toluca Lake break-ins behind her! The large property also has a producing vineyard, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes.
The main, two-story house is an elegant mashup of Monterey and Colonial design styles. This is no little house on the prairie: the 6,500-square foot home has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, plus a vast wine cellar with room for 1,000 bottles. Inside, the house also has an open floor plan that brings the great room and the kitchen together under rafters — very much like a downtown loft. Wide-plank wood floors flow throughout the house, tying the looks together, and the modern kitchen has up-to-date appliances.
The singer just wrapped up her "Bangerz" tour last year, but that doesn't mean the party is over. Outside, Miley and her guests can kick back on the wide veranda, walk the trails and seek refuge among the property's mature trees, take in killer views, or get competitive in the swimming pool — with a poolside hoop. There is also barbecuing area and outdoor fireplace, to serve hot and spicy foods on those chilly evenings.
Maybe it is a bit early to move out to the suburbs, as Miley's only in her early 20s, but she has a few exciting neighbors, including singer, dancer and "American Idol" mentor Jennifer Lopez; singer and fashion designer Jessica Simpson and Canadian rapper Drake.
