Early Life
Catt Sadler was born Catherine Ann Sadler on August 24, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Catt has two siblings, and she made her on-screen debut at the age of 11 when she appeared in the 1986 movie "Hoosiers." After graduating from high school, Sadler majored in journalism at Indiana University.
Career
Before she graduated from college, Catt landed a job as the host of "Youth Matters," a weekly segment on the Indianapolis Fox affiliate WXIN. She later hosted the WXIN dance show "The Groove," and about a year after beginning her career at WXIN, she moved to California. In 1997, Sadler was hired as an entertainment reporter at KBWB/KNTV in San Jose, and she hosted the nightly segment "The Bay Beat" for four years and often conducted celebrity interviews in New York and L.A. She returned to WXIN in 2001 to co-anchor the morning newscast. Sadler hosted the Hoosier Lottery's "Hoosier Millionaire" show as well and served as an emcee at Indiana Pacers basketball games during the 2003–04 season. In October 2009, Sadler became engaged to Brett Jacobson five months after meeting him at the Indianapolis 500. They ended the engagement a week later but kept dating each other. In May 2010, Catt met film producer Rhys David Thomas at a Los Angeles charity event, and they married in Las Vegas on October 23, 2011. Sadler filed for divorce in March 2016, and the divorce was finalized in May 2017.
Catt's mother co-created the Women Like Us Foundation, and Sadler has served as the international spokesperson for the organization, which is dedicated to "changing the world by empowering women and girls through education and economic development." In 2010, Catt founded Women Like Us Hollywood.
