Charlie Strong Net Worth and salary: Charlie Strong is an American college football coach and former player who has a net worth of $15 million. Charlie Strong was born in 1960 in Batesville, Arkansas. He played college football at Central Arkansas University from 1980 until 1983. Later that year, Strong scored his first coaching gig as a graduate assistant with the University of Florida Gators. He served as a grad assistant at Texas A&M in 1985 before landing a job as the wide receivers coach for Southern Illinois from 1986 until 1987. In 1988, Strong returned to Florida to coach the outside linebackers unit. He later coached at Ole Miss before being named Florida's assistant head coach from 1991 until 1994. In 1995, he was hired by Notre Dame to coach the defensive line for three seasons, and, in 1999, Strong moved to South Carolina to serve as the defensive coordinator for the Gamecocks.

He returned to the Gators sideline a third time as the defensive coordinator from 2003 until 2004 and served as the team's interim head coach briefly in 2004. Strong then returned to his role as Florida's assistant head coach until 2007. In 2010, he landed his first head coaching gig at Louisville, where he led the team until 2013. In 2014, Strong was hired on to right the ship at the University of Texas. Midway through the 2014 season, Strong has amassed a 42-30 career win-loss record as a head coach and is 3-2 in bowl games. He won two Big East championships with Louisville in 2011 and 2012. Strong has two daughters and one son with his wife, Victoria.
