Film Career

Marlohe made her film debut in the 2007 French short film "La discordance." She next appeared in the feature films "L'art de séduire" (2011) and "Happiness Never Comes Alone" (2012). Marlohe went on to have her international breakthrough in the James Bond film "Skyfall," which premiered in late 2012. She played Sévérine, a former sex slave who serves as an accomplice of the villain Raoul Silva, played by Javier Bardem. Later in the film, she partners with Bond and turns on her boss, with tragic results. "Skyfall" was a massive hit worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of 2012 and the highest-grossing James Bond film ever. Marlohe followed that success with her first leading role in a film, starring opposite Anton Yelchin in the 2014 romantic drama "5 to 7."

Marlohe acted in three films in 2017. First, she appeared in the ensemble cast of Terrence Malick's experimental drama "Song to Song," playing Zoey. Others in the cast include Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender, and Natalie Portman. Next, Marlohe played Abigail Vos in the science-fiction film "Kill Switch," co-starring Dan Stevens. Her third and final film of 2017 was another science-fiction film, "Revolt," in which she played French foreign aid military doctor Nadia. She starred opposite Lee Pace. Marlohe went on to appear alongside Josh Hartnett and John Malkovich in the drama "Valley of the Gods," which came out in 2019.

Marlohe began her television career in 2008 with guest roles on three French series: "Pas de secrets entre nous," "Femmes de loi," and "Section de recherches." The following year, she appeared in episodes of "R.I.S, police scientifique" and "Père et maire," and was also in the television film "Le temps est à l'orage." In 2010, Marlohe acted in the television film "Le pigeon" and appeared in an episode of "Équipe médicale d'urgence." A couple of years later, she made her second appearance on the crime series "R.I.S, police scientifique."

Marlohe made her debut on American television in 2015, when she played Beatrice in the comedy miniseries "The Spoils Before Dying." Starring Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Haley Joel Osment, the series aired on IFC in the summer. Marlohe continued her career on American television in 2017, appearing in the 12th episode of "Twin Peaks: The Return."
